Our Story

In December of 2009, my water broke just shy of 24 weeks. I spent the next month in the hospital awaiting the premature birth of a baby girl. She arrived at 28 weeks, weighing 2 lbs. 9 oz. Classified as a "feeder and a grower," the newest addition to our family (nicknamed "Buzzy" by her father) stayed in the NICU for 10 weeks. Though she has faced no major problems, there have certainly been challenges along the way. Today, she is a healthy and happy toddler, striving to catch up to her peers. This blog is about our continuing journey.
